Career

Lin Yi’s career in the Chinese entertainment world began in 2015, while he was still a first-year university student. At that time, he was discovered by a scouting agent and signed with Tangren Media Co. Ltd.

A year later, he began training in performance and dance overseas during his summer vacation.

He participated in the audition for My Huckleberry Friends (2017), cast for the male lead position, but eventually failed. In the same year, he joined the Youku’s idol reality show Handsome Youth Society and Crazy Wardrobe.

He was finally confirmed to star in the movie Hope Island in December 2017.

However, it was not until 2019 that he began gaining a lot of attention and recognition by appearing in the novel-turned-series Put Your Head on My Shoulder (2019).
