Extraordinary You – Cast & Summary

A popular teen Korean drama, Extraordinary You, started to air starting from October 2, 2019, until November 21, 2019, on MBC.

This drama is an adaptation of a webtoon called Eojjeoda Balgyeonhan 7wol written by Moo Ryeo in 2018.

The script reading process of the cast took first place in May 2019. Extraordinary You is mainly  starred by Kim Hye Yoon, Ro Woon, and Lee Jae Wook.

Kim Hye Yoon previously had starred in Secret Crushes Season 1 (2016) and Supernatural (2017) before starring this drama.

Ro Woon had become the main actor for Click Your Heart (2016), meanwhile, Lee Jae Wook had starred in Search: WWW (2019).

Extraordinary You was aired every Wednesday and Thursday at 21:00 KST on MBC to replace Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung.

Synopsis of Extraordinary You

This drama tells a high school story about Eun Dan Oh (Kim Hye Yoon) who studies at a very prestigious high school.

Dan Oh comes from a wealthy family but she owns a heart disease. In that school, Baek Kyung (Lee Jae Wook), her fiancee, also studies there.

She has been crushing him a lot, but unfortunately, Baek Kyung seems like doesn’t give her any care at all.

All of sudden, Eun Dan Oh got a memory loss and she has a vision about the future. One day, she meets Jinmiche that actually, Dan Oh is a Secret comic’s character.

In that comic, Jinmiche tells her that she’s not the main character, and actually, Dan Oh doesn’t own a lot of time to live her life.

Even so, Eun Dan Oh still wants to find her real love and her own life path. That decision made her meet an unknown student who later she calls Ha Roo (Ro Woon), her true love.

Main Cast

Kim Hye Yoon as Eun Dan Oh

A beautiful student in Seuli High School comes from a wealthy family. She is the Secret’s extra character and Neungsohwa’s main character. Unfortunately, she owns heart disease.

She has a fiancee, Baek Kyung, a handsome guy with whom she falls in love. But later, she finds out that her true love is Ha Roo.

Ro Woon as Ha Roo

The main character of Neungsohwa, but he is a Secret’s extra character. Ha Roo is very handsome and falls in love with Dan Oh after he helps her a lot of times.

Lee Jae Wook as Bae Kyung

The fiancee of Eun Dan Oh. Even though he is handsome and a part of A3, the handsome boys group, he is arrogant and rude.

Initially, he doesn’t have any feelings for her fiancee. But later, he realizes that he loves Dan Oh and gets jealous of Ha Roo.

Lee Na Eun as Yeo Joo Da

The main character of Secret who has a beautiful face. Even so, her family background is not lucky. She is very optimistic and kind-hearted.

Jung Gun Joo as Lee Do Hwa

A member of A3. Not only handsome, but he is also very friendly. Gun Joo later becomes a best friend for Eun Dan Oh.

Kim Young Dae as Oh Nam Joo

A handsome guy of A3. Cool, sporty, and has a feeling for Joo Da.

Lee Tae Ri as Jinmichae

The cafeteria chef who knows anything about the comic world.
