Chaeyeon is a South Korean actress and singer.

She rose to prominence as a member of girl groups DIA and I.O.I, before expanding her career as an actress and appearing in drama series such as My First First Love (2019) and Golden Spoon (2022).

Career

Before the breathtaking visual of Chaeyeon attracts a lot of K-Pop fans, she initially started her career as a DIA member by debuting with the group on September 14, 2015.

One year later, her fame began to rise when she joined Produce 101 as a contestant with Huihyeon, her fellow member in DIA.

In that show, she gained a lot of attention because of her dazzling visual and amazing talents.

No wonder, she ended up got 7th position in the final episode and successfully debuted with the winning team, I.O.I.

In the same year, MBK Entertainment also announced her as a part of the sub-unit of DIA, BCHCS, and debuted on December 29, 2016.

She then started to make some appearances as an actress, such as for Drinking Solo (2016), Reunited Worlds (2017), Marry Me (2018), and My First First Love (2019).

She explained the difference was mainly caused by her obesity during childhood, where she used to weight 64 kilograms and that she has lost more than 15 kilograms since then.

She also revealed honestly that she did opt for rhinoplasty to change the shape of her nose, but denied doing double eyelid surgery.
