Career

Jung Yong Hwa started his journey in the entertainment industry by joining FNC Music as his music label and built CNBLUE.

After that, they left for Japan to pursue music studies and did various street performances, as well as releasing independent albums.

Their first album was released on August 19, 2009, with the title of Now or Never under an indie label called AI Entertainment, meanwhile their first Korea debut happened in 2010 with the EP Bluetory.

In the same year, during their Japan debut, Yonghwa already debuted as an actor by starring in You’re Beautiful, an SBS drama.

One year later, in January 2011, Yonghwa made his first solo single, First Time Lovers, which was considered pretty successful on South Korean music charts.

After that, he then was trusted to be one of the actors for the MBC romance drama, Heartstrings (2011), alongside Kang Min Hyuk, his fellow member.

Later, he then released a single called You, My Star (2014), which later was followed by his next acting role in The Three Musketeers.

Yonghwa later continued his career by releasing an album titled One Fine Day in January 2015 and appearing in the movie Cook Up a Storm (2017), as well as for the series The Package (2017).

He took a short hiatus because of military service duties from 2018 to 2019, but later he came back to the entertainment industry by appearing in P1H: The Beginning of a New World (2020).

After that, he made another appearance for the fantasy-comedy drama, Sell Your Haunted House (2021) with Jang Nara.
