Kim Rae Won is a South Korean actor.

His popularity rose after starring in My Love Pattzi (2002), Cats on the Roof (2003), My Little Bride (2004), Gourmet (2008), A Thousand Days’ Promise (2011), The Doctors (2016), and Black Knight: The Man Who Guards Me (2018).

Career

Even though Kim Rae Won initially had a big dream as a professional basketball player, he decided to give up on his dream after injuring his ankle.

Because of that, he then started acting by debuting in the 1997 drama series Me, which later was followed by his role in School 2 (1999) and Plum Blossom (2000).

His role in Plum Blossom later gave him an award as Best New Actor for the 2000 Blue Dragon Film Awards.

Raewon began to be popular after starring in a romantic-comedy drama, My Love Patzzi (2002), which later was followed by his iconic role in Cats on the Roof (2003).

His popularity just increased because after that, he starred in many hit movies and dramas, such as My Little Bride (2004), Love Story in Harvard (2004), and Which Star Are You From (2006).

In 2008, he became more popular after starring in Gourmet, which gave him a lot of awards and praise from movie critics.

His career then was continued by his acting in A Thousand Days’ Promise (2011), Gangnam Blues (2015), and Black Knight: The Man Who Guards Me (2017).

In 2022, Raewon then came back to the drama series The First Responders, which its second season is scheduled to be aired in 2023.
