Kim Soyeon, who is also known as Kim Shony, is a South Korean model. She gained fame by pursuing a career in professional modeling.

Career

Initially, Kim Soyeon intended to pursue education in modeling at the university. However, the fact that her parents insisted on it, caused her to enroll in the electronic and mechanical engineering department.

During her sophomore year, her cousin informed her about a modeling contest for people who aren’t models. She participated in the event and walked at the ‘Seoul Girls Collection’ event.

During a walking class, she received compliments from her teacher, which made Soyeon eventually feel certain to pursue a career in modeling.

She made her debut as a professional model at the age of 21. Since then, she has worked in car events, for commercial films and broadcasts, as well as for events such as weddings and graduation shows.

In 2015, she participated in the Miss Model of the World contest held in China. In the following year, she competed in the Miss Asia Pacific International and finished in the fourth runner-up position.
