Shin Ha Kyun was cast in the 1998 movie The Happenings and had since appeared in other movies. Appreciated for her skills, he was then offered a role in the movie Coming Out (2000).
Later, he started to become a superstar in late 2000 when he appeared in the movie Joint Security Area. This helped make his next movie, Guns & Talks, a huge commercial success.
Also worth noticing is his performance in two different movies titled Welcome to Dongmakgol and The Front Line, which came out in 2005 and 2011 respectively.
Even though he mainly worked as a movie actor, he also showed up in some drama series, for example, Good Person (2003) and Golden House (2010).
