TWICE is a K-POP girl group formed by JYP Entertainment. They consist of 9 members: Jihyo, Nayeon, Dahyun, Jeongyeon, Sana, Momo, Tzuyu, Mina, Chaeyoung.
The name of the group itself was created by JY Park has a deep meaning: a girl group that will touch their audience’s heart twice, through their ears and eyes.

Career
TWICE’s journey was started by the announcement of JYP on December 19, 2013, about their plan to form a new girl group.
Initially, the agency wanted to debut the current TWICE members, Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Jihyo, Sana in one group.
But because there were departures of Lena and Cecilia, the JYP trainee who were supposed to be the group members, the plan was canceled.
JY Park, CEO of JYP Entertainment then made an announcement on February 11, 2015, about an upcoming survival show called Sixteen to form a new girl group contains 7 members. This show has a co-partner, Mnet.
The show then put Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Jihyo, Sana, Mina, Chaeyoung, and Dahyun as the TWICE members.
But JY Park then decided to add Tzuyu (based on the audience’s voting) and Momo because of her amazing talents.
The group was then created with the name ‘TWICE’.
TWICE finally made her first debut by releasing the first EP called The Story Begins on October 20, 2015. This EP contains the lead track, Like Ooh-Ahh.
As they had expected, the single successfully hit the K-pop industry. TWICE shortly became popular and made some achievements.
The first EP got 4th position on the Gaon Album Chart in October 2015 and single Like Ooh-Ahh successfully got 33rd position on the Gaon Digital Chart.
The group then released the second EP called Page Two on April 25, 2016.
This EP contains Cheer Up, their lead single, which was being rearranged from the single Precious Love and I’m Gonna Be a Star owned by Park Ji Yoon in 1998.
TWICE then venturing their fame through some top hits they have released, such as TT (2017), Signal (2017), What is Love? (2018), Dance the Night Away (2018), Feel Special (2019), to More and More (2020).
