Valeria Rees is a Costa Rican model. She rose to prominence by conquering the beauty pageant competition, Miss Costa Rica Universe 2021.

Career

Valeria Rees’ has been pursuing modeling since she was young. By 2012, at the age of 18 years old, she had already appeared as the cover girl of Colombian-based men’s magazine SoHo.

Since then, she has been featured on various magazines, such as Cosmopolitan and experienced catwalks including on the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.

In 2019, she competed in the Miss World Costa Rica for the first time and ended up in first runner-up place. The following year, she joined the beauty pageant again and finished at the same place.

In August 2021, she was eventually announced as the Miss Costa Rica 2021. Therefore, she was qualified to represent her country in Miss Universe 2021.

Outside of her modeling career, she also involves herself in activism. She established and runs the Open Cage Foundation, a nonprofit organization that helps eating disorders of girls, women, and adolescents.
